Joe maloy

Joe Maloy is a 2016 U.S. Olympian and former professional triathlete whose career has been defined by excellence across swimming, cycling, and running—with a strong foundation in open water. A native of New Jersey, Maloy was a four-year NCAA Division I swimmer at Boston College before transitioning to elite triathlon.

Maloy represented the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where he finished as the top American in the men’s triathlon. He was also the anchor leg of the historic U.S. team that won the 2016 World Championship in Mixed Relay, and claimed major international victories including the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon and the Noosa Triathlon—becoming the first American to win the latter.

His background as an ocean lifeguard, competitive swimmer and elite triathlete gives him unique insight into the technical, tactical, and environmental demands of open water performance. He currently works as an Account Executive at AKUVO and is co-authoring a children's book on athletic performance, expected to publish in 2027.
