Glenn stout
Glenn Stout is the author, editor or ghostwriter of more than 100 books for both the adult and juvenile audience, including biographies, current events and history, as-told-to third person narratives, memoirs and oral histories. His book titles include “Young Woman and the Sea: How Trudy Ederle Conquered the English Channel and Changed the World,” released as a feature film by Disney in 2024 starring Daisy Ridley, “Tiger Girl and the Candy Kid: America’s Original Gangster Couple,” “The Selling of the Babe,” Fenway 1912” “Nine Months at Ground Zero” “Red Sox Century,” “Yankees Century” and the upcoming detective thriller “Flagrant Fouls” with Richard O’Connor.
A former librarian at the Boston Public Library, Glenn currently serves remotely as director of the Archer City Writer’s Workshop at the Larry McMurtry Literary Center in Archer City, Texas. In his 35-plus-year career as a professional writer and author, Glenn has also written dozens of nonfiction narratives, taught workshops, published poetry and fiction and edited hundreds of nonfiction narratives, books and book proposals for private clients and print and digital outlets. A dual citizen of the United States and Canada, he is a graduate of Bard College and Simmons University. He lives on Lake Champlain in Vermont.
